Keynote speaker Arianna Huffington headlines the 2019 NMHC Annual Meeting in conversation with NMHC Chairwoman and Gables Residential CEO Sue Ansel.

It was a veritable who’s who of multifamily in San Diego last week for the 2019 NMHC Annual Meeting. With more than 3,855 executives in attendance, deal-making and networking were the top priorities. However, executives also heard from industry leaders on key business topics from tax and technology to climate risk and sustainability.

Special highlights from the meeting include NMHC Chair Sue Ansel’s interview with media mogul Ariana Huffington, founder of the Huffington Post and founder and CEO of Thrive Global, as well as Great Place to Work’s Michael Bush’s closing session on corporate culture building.

NMHC members also got an insider’s look at what’s going at London’s Wembley Park, a new, trend-setting, high-tech community development, thanks to AvalonBay Communities’ Karen Hollinger and Quintain Limited’s Michael Allen.

Comedian Jim Gaffigan provided some levity and a lot of laughter during the annual dinner.
